Rowena - Founder-Research/Investigator

President
/Owner - Team Leader

With a vast background of highly skeptical investigation of Haunting's in both public and private sectors for well over 10 years, Rowena was first well known and regarded for her famous ghost website "Castle of Spirits", which is now the sister site to the AGHS.
This has gained her a trusted and highly regarded reputation throughout the paranormal field in both Australia, the UK and America.
Experienced and specialised in Ouija/seances, she has researched and investigated haunted sites in Sydney, Melbourne, Tasmania and Queensland.
Also experienced with television/media & worked as consultant and scout for various television shows for Australia and Overseas.
The group was originally formed by and is generally run by Rowena.

Ronalee - Research/ Investigator

Canadian Aussie
Actively researching/investigating the paranormal. Involved with investigations at Monte Cristo, Junee cemetery and cemeteries throughout western Canada. Has had her own personal experiences with premonitions and crisis apparitions.
Ronalee has sensitivity to spirits.
She has a keen interest in all aspects of the paranormal with an open mind and a healthy dose of skepticism at the same time.

Darren "Daz" Research/Investigator

Degree: B. Science
Experience: Indirectly related : - worked briefly as a photographer - lots of background in IT - Keen interest in sound recording (EVPs etc)
Experience: Directly related : AGHS related - Picton Tunnel - Monte Cristo - Junee Cemetery. (listen to Daz's EVP from Junee by clicking here).
Investigations: Newcastle House, wolondilly Shire Hall - Quarantine Station - Whitebridge Cemetery
Non-AGHS related - ran Ghost Hunting Workshop at Maitland Gaol for about 12 months with interesting results. - 'Skippy' experiment (based on Philip Experiment and the work of Batcheldor et all) - 2 year duration - Kenmore Asylum/Garroorigang Homestead - Berima Court House - Seance/Ouija board/Table tilting group - Maitland Gaol investigation - Investigation of Chris Hollsworth - claimed 'physical medium'.

CANBERRA

Matt- Research/Investigator

Actively investigating/researching the paranormal with the AGHS. Experienced with hauntings in Monte Cristo andother sites including the Canberra area. Matt has a adegree in livin'! He states he didn't go to University as a student but has been working at one for 6.5 years. Experiences with ghost hunting at MonteCristo, Quarantine Station, Manly, parents house, and various cemeteries in Canberra and Queanbeyan.

Leanne- Culture/Research/Investigator

Over 10 years' experience researching and investigating the paranormal, including investigations in Junee, Picton and Canberra.

Leanne specialises in culture and folklore of the supernatural and currently occupied with a PhD involving the cultural heritage of haunted sites. Appeared on television and published several articles on the topic of haunting's and the supernatural.

WE ARE CURRENTLY LOOKING FOR NEW AGHS TEAM MEMBERS WHO ARE LOCATED IN THE MELBOURNE/VICTORIA AREA.

If you enjoy being out in the middle of the night, come wind, hail, rain or shine. Walking through old buildings and exploring history, have a great deal of patience and know ghost hunting is not what they portray in the movies AND NOT AFRAID OF THE DARK

REQUIREMENTS: including and not exclusive to:

Understanding and agreement with the general belief and policies of the Australian Ghost Hunters Society. This includes a science based approach to haunting's and non-religious based views or opinions of the paranormal field.

An understanding of ghost investigations or a willingness to learn and contribute in a positive, respectful and objective manner.

Ability to write comprehensive investigation reports and help with web site design and implementation if required. Prefer someone who is willing to contribute articles and other associated articles of interest for the AGHS and possibly the COS (Castle of Spirits) websites.

Represent the Australian Ghost Hunters Society AT ALL TIMES with a responsible, respectful and reasonable attitude and presence. To not induce fights with anyone over different beliefs and hopefully respond to others, who's beliefs differ vastly to ours in a adult and respectful and objective manner.

Ability to investigate and show interest and enthusiasm for fully researching and perhaps seeking out some haunted sites for investigation for the AGHS team, following up on private haunting's, and possible interaction with the media with the possibility of working in the media including television/radio/magazine interviews.

Work within a strong team environment and include yourself in the group, ensuring that the group findings on any investigation are shared exclusively and kept within the AGHS group or as required, shared as directed by Rowena or any other production the AGHS may currently be working on.

Have funds for possible travel (including interstate) and possible overnight stays for investigations within the state of Victoria. This does not include vast amounts of money.

Drive a car.

Be available for forum responses within the beliefs of the AGHS, and ability to help respond to e-mails from concerned members of the public with helpful advice.

Ability for last minute investigation of private residences.

We would hope that any future team members would have equipment or the ability to be interested in purchasing equipment for investigation purposes (all equipment remains the property of individual owners).

Ability to protect clients privacy.

Active and enthusiastic within the AGHS group.

Be able to willingly participate in research based activites such as seances (with or without Ouija boards), and other experimental reasearch that may or may not have associated urban legend type beliefs attached.

The AGHS currently prefer non-smokers.

The AGHS unfortunately cannot accept the following:

Strong religious based ideas and beliefs. These do not form the basic beliefs of the AGHS team members. We currently do not include religion in our research and investigations.

Inability to connect with other AGHS team members.

Inability to share information or evidence/research gathered at any site investigated with the AGHS team.

Withholding information/research or evidence from the AGHS.

People who are more interested in self-gain or using the AGHS as a platform to boost themselves further in the paranormal industry and would work solely for their own requirments, excluding themselves from the team at times.

Working for other groups/clubs or sharing of information with other groups/clubs without prior knowledge and agreement of AGHS team members.

Inability to respond to or follow direction from Team Leader Rowena, (owner of AGHS).

People who cannot be on time, cannot participate in the majority of investigations, or cannot commit to overnight investigations.

The AGHS - Australian Ghost Hunters Society is a well respected and well known group. We work as a team and work towards our own groups benefit and continue our search to find evidence of ghosts and haunting's and hopefully one day may contribute towards proving that they either exist, or do not exist.

While our group is serious about our research and investigations, we also like to include a somewhat social aspect which is important to all our team members.
We would be looking for members around our own ages and of similar interests and ideas.
